The MIDAS Project is currently being developed from three astronomical observatories in Spain: Sevilla, La Hita and La Sagra. Some observing campaigns are also conducted from Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory.

Our main equipment consists of a series of Schmidt-Cassegrain and Newtonian telescopes endowed with high-sensitivity cameras. Thus, from Sevilla we operate a series of 7 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes with diameters ranging between 14 and 9.25". From La Hita Astronomical Observatory we operate remotely a 40 cm Newtonian telescope. And two 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes are also employed at La Sagra. All these instruments work in a coordinated way in order to identify impact flashes produced by rocks hitting the lunar surface.
